"Sharp, sincere, proverbial"
The traditional wine of the Piacenza hills.. Obtained by simultaneous fermentation of Barbera (60%) and Croatina grapes ( 40%). Of a deep bright red color has scents of red fruit and a fresh and savory palate that makes it the ideal match to cold cuts and typical dishes of the area. The DOC Gutturnio takes its name from an ancient vase found in the countryside of Piacenza that was used by the Romans to mix wine during their banquets.
"Rustic Pride"
Getting to the point is a rare skill these days. Gutturnio Superiore speaks a direct language, without filters and without worrying about pleasure at all costs. There is an unhealthy pleasure in being told things as they are, but if it is true that the first impression is what counts our Gutturnio leaves no room for doubt.
The Upper Gutturnio of Luretta is a wine that leaves no time for fuss. Clear in intention and provocative in character, it is a niche product that those who taste will not forget. Created following the local tradition of combining Barbera and Croatina grapes, Gutturnio Superiore stands out from other interpretations for its long aging process in oak barrels. A seemingly harmless wine, which presents its rough and disruptive personality at the first sip, perfect to celebrate a friendship sealed by time.
